It’s unfortunate how many people choose to respond immediately to any stimuli thinking it makes them look knowledgeable, involved, in power. I happen to believe that ‘observing’ is the wisest way to start understanding people and events, especially when you know nothing or very little about the subjects. Unfortunately, all these social networking sites have propelled more people into reacting, responding without a moment of thought. I have to deal with people desperate for a sense of me-ness, a sense ‘coolness’, a sense of belonging in such a transparent way everyday.
